My Work

The Reel
As part of the Google UX Design Certificate program, I created a conceptual movie snack ordering app for a fictional movie theatre, The Reel. Many movie goers like to buy their tickets online to skip the physical queues but still end up having to wait in line to order their movie snacks. This app aims to solve this problem by providing users with the option of ordering and customising their snacks in advance. Users can then choose to pick them up before the movie, or have them delivered directly to their seats.
Paw Shelter
As part of the Google UX Design Certificate Programme, I worked on a project to make pet adoption easier and help more animals find their forever homes. I designed a responsive website that allows people to easily search and read about the dogs they want to adopt. The purpose of this project is to create a website that allows people to quickly access information about adoption and browse a list of available animals before making an appointment to visit the shelter. This would make the adoption process go more smoothly and save them time.
Citi Ventures Project
As part of our Citi Ventures project, our team worked to reduce the back-and-forth communication between investment counsellors and their clients and improve client service. We developed a dashboard to allow our users to access real-time market data and clients' positions quickly. We began by conducting user interviews with investment counsellors in order to figure out what features they would need and how they would use the product. Using the insights gathered, we brainstormed on a whiteboard to quickly iterate on our ideas. My next step was to translate our ideas into digital wireframes and interactive prototypes to carry out usability studies with users. The entire process was conducted in collaboration with developers, who helped me better understand the technicalities of the product and evaluate which aspects of it could be implemented. I have learned how to include different stakeholders throughout the design process to create a better product.
BNY Mellon Internship
During my three month internship, I led the redesign of the Global Innovation Center internal webpage. In designing the new website, I adopted the full design thinking process from beginning to end. There are four innovation centers globally, each with its own webpage. With the redesign, I combined all the pages into one global page for users to easily obtain information. I conducted research with users within the Digital Innovation team and outside the team to understand their pain points and see what would attract them to visit our page. After synthesising my findings, I came up with ideas and created designs based on the users' feedback. I created sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to conduct user testing and get iterative feedback. Following several rounds of usability testing with users, I worked with front-end developers to develop my designs using HTML and CSS.
